O’ Caside, O’ Cassidy.
Â
The name Cassidy comes from Cas meaning âCurly Headedâ. This name is found principally in County Fermanagh and itâs adjacent counties. Cassidys were famous for centuries as poetâs churchmen and physicians for the Maguire chieftains.
The hand knit Cassidy sweater incorporates honeycomb rope, braid, cables and moss filled diamond stitches. The diamonds symbolise a wish for wealth, the honeycomb represents work and the cables a wish for good luck. This beautiful hand knitted Aran sweater has been hand knitted in the traditional bĂĄinin (pronounced âbaw neenâ) colour, the natural white of the wool. It comes to you complete with a Clan history and crest. It is made of 100% pure new wool, is water repellent and breathable. It has been hand crafted in the traditional Irish style, and with care, will last a lifetime.
